DESCRIPTION:Aloha\, Cub Scout families! Get ready for an unforgettable summer adventure at Camp Pupukea\, a world-class Scout camp nestled on the legendary North Shore of Oahu. This multi-day camp experience is designed to introduce Cub Scouts to the very best of Scouting\, outdoor adventure\, new skills\, confidence-building fun\, and memories that last a lifetime. \nWhether this is your Scouts first camp or a favorite summer tradition\, Cub Resident Camp offers the perfect mix of excitement\, safety\, and aloha spirit. \nWho Can Attend? \nOpen to Cub Scouts entering Grades 1 through 5 in Fall 2026 \nA Parent/guardian’s attendance is required for every Scout. If you have multiple cub scouts in your family\, a minimum of ONE parent/guardian is required per family. For example: I have a wolf and bear attending\, I need to register but my spouse does not need attend unless they would like to (at an additional cost). \nScouts attend camp alongside their parent or guardian for all activities (unless your family has multiple cub scouts) \nThis is not family camp – all youth attending must be a registered cub scout with a pack. \nThis is a hands-on Cub Scout camp where adults and Scouts experience the adventure together. \nCamp Program Highlights \nCub Resident Camp is packed with age-appropriate\, high-energy activities that Cub Scouts look forward to all year\, including: \n\nRange and Target Activities (BB guns\, archery & Sling shots)\nAquatics activities\nScoutcraft\nOutdoor games and group activities\nNature exploration at Camp Pupukea\nOpportunities to earn rank adventures\nClassic camp fun that builds confidence\, friendships\, and Scout spirit\nCampfire with songs and skits\n\nSpace is limited. Early registration is strongly encouraged. \n2026 Camp Dates and Fees \nSunday\, July 26 – Wednesday\, July 29\, 2026\nCub Scout Camp\nCamp Pupukea\, Oahu \nCheck-in on Sunday\, July 26 @1 pm \nCheck-out on Wednesday\, July 29 @1000 am \n2026 Camp Fees include 3-nights/4 days of camp program and 8 meals \nYouth and parent/guardian: $450 \nany dietary special needs: Additional $50 per person \nAdditional Adults: $125 \nCub Scout Second Youth (same family as primary registration): $225 \nCub Scout Third Youth (same family as primary registration): $120 \nAll fees must be paid on time to hold your campsite. Units or families may lose their place if payments are not received by required deadlines. \nWhat do I need to bring? \nA tent for cub scout and parent/adult along with your sleeping gear\, scouting essentials\, your field and activity uniform and your scouting spirit!! A suggested packing list is provided under attachments. \nEvery participant is required to bring a hard copy of the Annual Health and Medical Records\, Parts A & B (provided under attachments). Per National Policy\, an electronic copy is not acceptable. \nEvery adult in attendance is required to bring a hard copy of the Scouter Code of Conduct (provided under attachments). \nCamp Scholarships & Financial Assistance \nA limited number of camp scholarships/financial assistance awards are available for Aloha Council Scouts based on financial need. SUMMARY:Overnight Encampment
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE PROGRAM\nThe Battleship Missouri Overnight Encampment is designed to foster an understanding of history\, leadership and team building among the youth of Hawaii\, the United States\, and the World. Just like real sailors\, youth groups can sample “life at sea” with an overnight encampment experience aboard the Battleship Missouri.  Campers walk the decks of this historic battleship\, sleep in the crew berthing areas\, eat Navy-style meals on the ship’s mess deck as well as participating in onboard activities focused on  communication and teamwork. \nLIFE AT SEA\nParticipants will experience the life of a battleship sailor through a series of tours and activities during their overnight stay. Eating in the enlisted crew’s mess and sleeping in the enlisted crew bunks gives scoutss and adults a better understanding of what it is like to live and work in the U.S. Navy. \nHANDS-ON HISTORY\nScouts will be introduced to the unique history of the Battleship Missouri while visiting fun and exciting locations throughout the ship. They will learn how the Mighty Mo transformed through the three eras in which she served: WWII\, the Korean War\, and the First Persian Gulf War. The evening concludes on the Surrender Deck\, the site of the Surrender of Japan which formally ended WWII. \n  \nImportant Information:\nFord Island is Navy property and access is controlled. All parties driving onto Ford Island must have obtain an approved SecNav Form or hold a military ID. \nYour access to the Missouri for the encampment program permits driving only the exact route to the ship as defined in the map and nowhere else on the island. Naval Base Police will enforce this\, and violators are subject to federal trespassing charges. \nParking space is available in the large lot in front of the Fire Station adjacent to the Battleship Memorial. Cars should be kept locked when parked. Do not leave valuables in the car. The USS Missouri Memorial Association is not responsible for theft or loss of personal property. Cars must be removed from the parking area at the time the group departs the ship. \nWHAT TO BRING (It is recommended that you bring) \n\nPersonal toiletries including towel and wash cloth Shower shoes/slippers\nSleeping bag\, blanket\, or comforter. (Pillow is provided)\nExtra money for the ship’s gift shop if you are interested\nCamera\, video camera or cell phone for photography.\nChange of clothes/pajamas (The ship can get cold at night\, so jacket or other warm clothes are recommended.\n\nWHAT NOT TO BRING \n\nYou DO NOT need to bring a pillow\, pillowcase\, or a sheet\, these will be provided by the ship.\nElectronic devices such as tablets and laptops. Leaders and chaperones may bring these items\, if needed. The use of these devices should not interfere with instructions and tours.\nFood and snacks (gum\, candy\, and other snacks items) unless needed for a medical condition. Food is only allowed in Mess Decks.\nAlcoholic beverages.\n\nFORMS: \nSecNav for non-DoD ID holders.
