DESCRIPTION:Happy Summer Pack 564! \nContinuing our quest for the cubs Summertime Fun adventure\, we are organizing a Pack hike on the beautiful Waimano Trail in Pearl City. Scouts who can attend this hike will get a jumpstart on their new rank adventures for the upcoming scouting year. \nGetting there is pretty easy. Head to Pearl City and navigate to Waimano Home Road. You will follow this road all the way up. Once you reach Pearl City High School (on your right)\, you are nearly there. Continue a little further until you see a gated entry. Do not enter the gate. Park on either side of the street and the scouts will meet for a short pre-hike discussion. \nPlease wear your pack activity t-shirt and closed toed shoes (required; no croqs\, slippers\, sandals\, etc). Scouts and/or parents can bring a backpack to carry water bottle and light trail snacks. A hat and sunscreen is recommended for sun protection. DESCRIPTION:Every year\, Pack 564 participates in the Aloha Council’s Fall popcorn sale\, which runs from August through October. This is our Pack’s top fundraiser for the year and receives over 40% commission for all sales. Fundraisers help the Pack subsidize costs for scouting activities\, camping equipment\, and other program expenses. \nSelling popcorn not only develops responsibility but also enhances communication skills. Scouts who participate in this event receive a special patch designed by the Aloha Council. DESCRIPTION:Join Pack 564 for our first ever Brick Derby! This awesome event will be held at the Town Center of Mililani on September 27th from 10am – 2pm and is also open to the public. At this family STEM event\, you will harness your creativity and discover your inner racer as you utilize the Ask-Imagine-Create-Test-Improve learn cycle to reach top speeds. Members of Pack 564 will guide you along the way. \nWe’ll have specially designed wheeled base plates for our Pinewood Derby track\, and we’ll also have a bunch of shared LEGO bricks that you can use to build your car. Feel free to bring your own LEGO to use on our base plate\, but please remember to use them only for yourself so they don’t mix up with the shared ones. Pack 564 is not responsible for personal LEGO brought to the event. \nIf you have some LEGO bricks gathering dust and want to donate them\, feel free to contact us using this form and we will be happy to pick up the bricks from you whenever is convenient for you! \n

Dens will work on their rank adventures and will have the opportunity to learn about Scouts BSA via activities run by the scouts of Mililani Troop 164. \nImportant Info:\nAloha Council requires us to provide current annual medical forms for all participants. If you have not already submitted your forms\, please turn them in to any leader or bring them to camp. You will not be able to participate without completing the forms. DESCRIPTION:Let’s bring in the New Year with an exciting outdoor activity! Fishing!!! January 19th is a Monday\, but it is also the day we honor Martin Luther King Jr. Come join us on this holiday for a fun day of fishing with your family at Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens. We will have a special guest speaker stopping by to share with us some history of Ho’omaluhia as well as a BSA Angling Instructor to teach us basic practical fishing skills. \nSome things to know before you go: \n\nBring your own snacks/lunch and drinks (water\, juice\, soda).\nBring a chairs or a blanket to sit on. There are also a few picnic tables in the area. NO CANOPIES ALLOWED.\nFishing poles and bait will be provided (come to the Pack meeting on the 16th to build your own pole!).\nYou may bring your own hand poles and fishing gear. NO CASTING ALLOWED.\nNO SWIMMING ALLOWED.\nThe restrooms should have soap\, but you should bring some hand sanitizer just in case to clean up before you eat and when you are finished and heading home.\nALL participants (adults and youth) fishing must sign the Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability Agreement. Consenting adults will sign on behalf of the youth participants. DESCRIPTION:Come join us for an urban hike through the beautiful Wahiawa Botanical Garden! Scouts will explore the different areas of the main garden on a quest to complete the rainbow challenge. \nWe will meet at the garden entrance at 9:00 am for a quick discussion then head on in as a group. We may split up into smaller groups as needed. Don’t forget to bring your Cub Scout 6 essentials and something to write with! \nPlease wear your pack activity t-shirt and closed toed shoes (required; no croqs\, slippers\, sandals\, etc). Scouts and parents can bring a backpack to carry water bottle\, lunch\, and snacks. A hat and sunscreen is recommended for sun protection. DESCRIPTION:More camping! Come join Pack 564 for our spring family camping event at the amazing Bellows AFS campsites out on the east-side of Oahu. Dens will work on their adventures and older Arrow of Light cub scouts will have the opportunity to learn about Scouts BSA via activities run by the scouts of Mililani Troop 664. \nImportant Info:\nAloha Council requires us to provide current annual medical forms for all participants. If you have not already submitted your forms\, please turn them in to any leader or bring them to camp. You will not be able to participate without completing the forms.\nDownload PDF \nRSVP (in Scoutbook or to your den leader) by April 9th. This is a strict deadline\, as we must submit the roster of non-DoD attendees to Bellows. All adults attending will need a valid ID and current vehicle registration to access the base. We also need to know when you plan on arriving & departing and the total headcount of your family attending. \nCost is $20 per person which covers meals for Saturday and Sunday. Payments can be brought to camp collection meetups or you can make other arrangements with your leaders. SUMMARY:Memorial Day Good Turn
DESCRIPTION:Memorial Day Good Turn is the longest-running and biggest Scout service project on Oahu. Scouts decorate every grave at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific with flags and flower lei. \nThe event takes place on Sunday\, May 24th. \nSchedule for Sunday\, May 24th:\nParking available @ Stevenson & Lincoln schools from 10am-3pm\nApprox. 1 mile walk to Punchbowl; for those units with buses\, bus turnaround will be available just outside the cemetery.\nCheck in by from 12:00 to 12:30 PM\nMemorial service at 1:00\nDecorate graves by 1:30\nEnd between 2:00 and 2:30 \nOpen to Scouts\, leaders\, and parents at all levels.
